Huatulco

Huatulco está ubicado en el Estado de Oaxaca, el cual es uno de los destinos más importantes de México por su patrimonio cultural, artístico y culinario y donde las montañas de la Sierra Madre del Sur se encuentran con el Océano Pacífico. Huatulco es famoso por sus nueve bahías y su clima tropical casi todo el año, lo que abre un mundo de actividades para explorar en esta increíble naturaleza.

Mientras estás en Huatulco, no puedes perderte la cocina oaxaqueña. Visita los mercados locales de productos frescos y déjate envolver por la cultura mexicana. Oaxaca ha sido considerada durante mucho tiempo el epicentro de la cultura gastronómica tradicional de México y es la tierra de donde se origina el maguey (agave) y donde se produce el mejor mezcal del mundo. Tampoco puedes irte sin probar el mole y beber un poco de Mezcal, el espíritu ahumado de México.

Aunque llegues a Huatulco para correr GFNY, hay muchas actividades para disfrutar durante tu estadía. Encontrarás todo tipo de actividades acuáticas como navegar en catamarán, snorkel y buceo para sumergirte en los restos de barcos hundidos o apreciar el arrecife. También tómate el tiempo para disfrutar de las cascadas cercanas o visitar un sitio arqueológico. Huatulco tiene mucho ecoturismo por explorar.

Ruta

La carrera comienza y termina en el recién construido Centro de Convenciones de Oaxaca, que cuenta con todas las comodidades, hermosa arquitectura y jardines. Los primeros 5 km lo llevarán a través de las coloridas y coloniales calles del centro de Oaxaca. El comienzo plano y las vistas de la ciudad del viejo mundo le proporcionarán un calentamiento escénico antes de llevarlo a la carretera Panamericana y a la región del Mezcal.

Con sus colinas onduladas y carreteras con curvas, este será un recorrido divertido mientras disfruta de las hermosas vistas de las montañas. Al llegar a la zona del Mezcal, la ruta pasará por el pueblo mágico de Mitla, donde una vez prosperó la cultura zapoteca. Disfrute del hermoso telón de fondo de las montañas de la Sierra Madre Sur y los valles de Tiacolula mientras recorre las colinas.

Prepara tus piernas para escalar para correr por la Carretera Antigua Spirito Santo. La subida de 4,8 km promedia el 4,5%. En la parte superior, se revelarán vistas de todo el valle del Mezcal. Este será el punto de inflexión. Desde aquí, los ciclistas de ruta media se dirigirán a la meta de regreso en la ciudad de Oaxaca.

Las carreras de ruta larga harán un giro a la derecha por el famoso monumento a Benito Juárez para afrontar la subida final y más dura de la carrera. Con una longitud total de 15 km, una inclinación máxima del 19% y un promedio del 6%, será un gran desafío para disfrutar mientras se contempla el hermoso bosque y las montañas alpinas. Aquí es donde se decidirá la carrera. Después de llegar al punto más alto del campo a 2590 m de altitud, correrá de regreso a la ciudad de Oaxaca, de regreso a donde comenzó en el Centro de Convenciones de Oaxaca.

Una vez que cruce la línea de meta, se le otorgará la medalla de finalista de GFNY Oaxaca, bebidas refrescantes y una deliciosa comida de pasta. A partir de entonces podrás relajarte y disfrutar del entretenimiento en la zona de meta con bandas en vivo, DJ's, masajes y, por supuesto, la ceremonia de premiación del podio donde estaremos regalando algunos premios increíbles.

LA RUTA LARGA ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Solo los finalistas de la ruta larga son elegibles para clasificaciones de categoría y premios generales y de podio. Si deseas competir y ser clasificado en tu categoría, debes completar la ruta larga. El Top 10% de los finalistas en cada grupo de edad ganan un lugar en el Qualifier Corral en cada evento de GFNY World.

 

LA RUTA MEDIA NO ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Los corredores de la ruta media recibirán su tiempo de inicio a fin, pero no se clasificarán según el tiempo de llegada. Todos los tiempos de llegada se enumerarán en orden alfabético.

EL JERSEY: Todos los corredores reciben un jersey oficial de GFNY Oaxaca, que es vestimenta obligatoria en la carrera. El jersey está diseñado en Nueva York y fabricado en Italia.

TIEMPO DE CHIP: GFNY Oaxaca es una carrera cronometrada. Cada atleta tiene su propio chip de cronometraje, que comienza justo después de cruzar la línea de inicio y se detiene cuando cruza la línea de meta. Los resultados de cronometraje estarán disponibles en gfny.cc/results.

MEDALLA DE FINALISTA: Cada finalista de GFNY Oaxaca recibe una medalla, sin importar la distancia que hayan completado.
